We stumbled across this place by chance but we had the best meal we have had whilst on holiday in France. We had the set three course menu which was 25€ each. The food and service were both first class. We had courgette veloutee followed by beef and dauphinoise potatoes and a creme brûlée type desert. The waiter also brought us a little amuse bouche whilst we looked at the menu and also plenty of bread, for which there was no additional charge. We sat outside in the lonely garden and the waiter and waitress were both charming and very patient which my basic French. The hotel itself is lovely. It hasn't been restyled since the 1970s and was all the better for it. Too many hotels are renovated in a trendy way and I loved the kitsch interior. I would highly recommend a visit to this place, very reasonable price and lovely food and service.
