Pizzeria du Mas d’Azil

As locals, we have been going to this restaurant for many years, through it's several changes in management. This was our first time since the change of hands a few months ago.Great changes, for the better as far as the look of the place. Much smarter, and more comfortable.The staff were very attentive and friendly, very professional .I had the 17 euro menu, which was very good. Portions were not huge, but everything was well presented, and appetizing. Excellent value. The fishy starter and main were notable by the fact that the fish was perfectly cooked. ( one fault with the cassolette de poisson was the skin that had been left on some of the fish pieces ). The pizzas were disappointing. They were large, and well garnished, but the bases were tough and the sauce managed to be both acidic and bland. Our main complaint, however was the time it took before any food arrived.The restaurant was no more than half full at most, but we had a long wait. I appreciate that one 3 course menu, and two pizzas with desserts is not ideal for the kitchen, but the pizzas arrived well before my starter. We were asked to choose our desserts when ordering the rest of our meal as they took a long time to prepare. Difficult when you don't always know if you will succumb to temptation,or not ). Will we go again, maybe. Will we order pizza to take-away , no !

Fantastic food and equally fantastic service! I would definitely go again!! We ordered the red pepper pizza and Margarita pizza it was delicious!

stopped there after they had visited the grottes du mas d’azil and enjoyed their pizzas. we talk about the right size, tasty, nice crispy teig, and very friendly staff. highly recommended, would go back there
