We sat outside with a view over the square. The atmosphere was relaxed and unhurried. We ordered the rump steak and were told that it would be cooked rare to respect the meat. That was fine with us. We asked for a glass of wine and the waiter said it would have to be red. This made me smile as the waiter had a confidence and air that said I know more about this than you do. And when the food arrived it proved that he did. The steak was delicious and the wine sumptuous. I totally recommended this restaurant and I thought that it was very reasonable too.

We had a lovely evening dining at this restaurant. It is situated watching over a square with other restaurants and cafees and people playing boule. There was some live music on the other side of the square and this made for some nice background music. The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed and authentic. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and wine and thought it was really good value as well. The service was excellent, personal and attentative. Ile Rousse has lots of good restaurants, but this little gem deserves a higher rating on TripAdvisor. We will definately return if visiting ile rousse again!

So worth it! Lovely service, great recommendations from the waiter, a three course delicious meal and an aperitif (for a price I would have paid for an 'average' meal in Paris). The restaurant is so unassuming from the outside but its interior is classy. Service was professional but still warm. And the chef even came outside and had a chat with his guests. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend this restaurant. I particularly enjoyed the dessert - Panzarotti. Was an unexpected highlight of my trip to ile rousse.

The restaurant is fairly unassuming from the Square. The building itself is a modest white washed vaulted basement. Clearly a restaurant without a view. We ate at lunctime and although it was a restricted menu the quality of the food was very good. The owner served us as this was a quiet time of the day. If you enjoy fine dining, and are in the area, then this is a restaurant which is worth visiting.

Michelin stars should only be awarded for high quality food, great service and overall, an experience that is worth it. This restaurant disappoints and these days, does not deserve the star. The food is very ordinary. A risotto starter of fois de veau and artichoke- though sounding unusual- was quite ordinary. A main of veal was overcooked and tasteless. Deserts were plain. Service was slow and uneven, being provided by one single waiter on a Saturday night. That is not Michelin star material.

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Pasquale Paoli the last evening we were in Corsica. We had a table on their terrace over looking the town square. It was a treat to see the boule players and the other life on a warm summer evening.The food was excellent and they have a tremendous list of Corsican wines with some offerings that they have with special arrangements with the winemakers.Definitely worth including as a place to dine while in Ile Rousse, or more broadly in Balagne.

I' m very disappointed. we ate five different dishes from the menu. not only none of them was special, but four of them were of really bad taste combination. the michelin star is overated. the overall quality of the restaurant is not accorded to the price asked. keep walking ...
