Firstly - the food! My wife and 4 kids (2-10) ordered pizzas and they were far better than anything you'd get from PIzza Express or similar - very generous toppings and really tasty, with excellent variety on the menu (anyone for bolognese?). We really enjoyed it, and to feed all of us for just under E90 with a few drinks is good value. Pudding was passable ice-cream/crepes, but you don't come to a pizzeria for dessert. All the pizzas were close-to-burnt on one side but IMHO that added to the authenticity and flavour rather than just tasting crap. The setting was on one hand picturesque - you could see enough of a view around the balcony, and the facade of the building appeared somewhat to be either a half decent attempt at fake old "baths" or something properly old and rather worn. And there's the rub - the floor was scattered with broken masonry (not dangerous just unsightly) and much of that facade was so very worn that when we arrived I nearly turned my nose up at it and moved onward. There was pop music playing throughout - though we could only hear the bass - which the kids liked and I was indifferent to. You were also expected to go fetch any ketchup/oil from plastic pouches by the wall - not a big deal, but not what you might expect. So, excellent food at decent value, but don't expect silver service or pristine setting.

We visited this restaurant twice within a week having had a look around the other eateries in Nontron and not finding another quite as family friendly. There is a main seating area on the roof of the opposite building which has nice views out over the roof tops, and seating inside (but can't comment on whether it was air conditioned or not).Pizza's are great, superb variety which are all cooked in a pizza oven. Crepes, Salads, Steaks and Burgers are also available (be aware, as in all of France, the meat may be less well cooked than you are comfortable with if you are used to UK food).Kids menu suited our kids, the usual fare of nuggets or steak hashe and frites or pasta, with a scoop of ice-cream and squash. Staff very friendly and happy to talk through the menu even for those of use who were vegetarians (which is almost an alien concept in some places).Service nice and quick, with a dedicated kids area with colouring books and crayons to occupy them whilst waiting for the food.

Visited with my family, husband and 2 children (11 years and 8 years old). Sat outside and enjoyed the views of the town and listened to the relaxing music. Service was very good and the staff were very friendly. Ordered savoury crepes, 4 cheeses and ham and cheese and the children had the set meal, chicken and chips and crepe with sugar. All four meals were delicious, enjoyed with a cold beer for the adults and lemonade was including the set child's meal. Burgers, pizza, salad were also on the menu, the burgers looked amazing. Could of spent all afternoon here. Would definitely recommend for lunch or dinner.
