Turned up without a reservation for lunch and luckily they were able to squeeze us in but others were turned away as they were full. Definitely reserve a table as you will be disappointed. This is a small 28 cover max restaurant run by husband and wife team with David cooking up a storm in the kitchen and Marie running front of house. Food was fantastic again and great wine as always. Great way to end our Christmas break.

Good value lunchtime meal in friendly surroundings. Delicious well cooked food. Plat du jour excellent as were the steaks which were served with a choice of sauces. Booking required on Saturday.
I've been waiting for ages to try this restaurant ever since it opened, however it is sometimes hard to catch them open, as they do not open in the evenings outside the main holiday periods. However this time it was Sunday Lunch, and what a meal!There was an a-la-carte menu an a blackboard, but I opted for the traditional "Menu du Jour", 3 courses for €22. The starter was mussels in a mushroom and herb sauce, with some crusty bread, which was necessary to mop up every last drop of sauce, it was so delicious.The main was a leg of rabbit, with crispy potatoes and carrots, again in a fabulous sauce. More bread required.Dessert was a cherry pie, delicious too.All that with a nice white wine and it's one of the best meals I have had for a long time. Marie speaks very good English, which helped when my French wasn't quite good enough.This is a top restaurant, I can't wait to go back. Unfortunately I normally visit Lus out of the high season and eat out in the evenings, so it might be a while yet.

Delicious food at very reasonable prices. Large portions too so don't be shy about sharing!

If you travel through the French alps either South to the French Riviera or back North, the Pin d’Epices is a great place to stop to enjoy local food cooked simply but excellently. A real treat in a region of France where finding a good...place to eat may be difficult. The scenery all around is beautiful and the little village of Lus La Croix Haute hosts an excellent restaurant. Good meat and cheese dishes in this mountain region. Reasonably priced with a good and original/local wine list. All in all, a very pleasant stop
