From reception and aperitifs right through to dessert and coffee this dining experience was wonderful. Such a great, balanced meal full of exceptional flavours.

For a exceptional experience and a exceptional meal try here, it's a old abbey not a purpose made hotel, restaurant with a large menu
In many trips through France, this was one of our favorite meals. For 48 Euros price fixed, there were five delicious courses, though no choices. Particularly memorable was the pepper stuffed with goat cheese and the perfectly cooked duck breast in a wonderful sauce. The dark bread was excellent, but the mediocre white bread was our only quibble. There is an extensive, reasonably priced list of local wines. We had the highest priced white at only 39 Euros - a beautiful Grenache gris. Service was fine. The outdoor dining area in this charming hotel was serene. Wish we could have stayed another night or two.
We have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to dine at the L'Abbaye 3 times over the past few years, and have never been disappointed. Katie does an amazing job in ensuring that every detail of the dinning experience is stellar.
If you re not staying at the Abbey then this is well worth the drive from wherever you are. We had a five course set menu and it is... as I noted on the title.... mouthwatering. The chef is amazing!

You can not get better. Food, atmosphere and fantastic staff. A four course dinner cooked to perfection in the cloisters of a XIV century Abbaye and a well priced wine list too. This is a unique destination restaurant and hotel that offers an experience you will never forget. We will go back again and again.
For 13 on a chilly October evening, Katie set up a big long table for us in the oldest stone dining room just off the cloisters that glitters with candle light. We had a lovely dinner, rather too much wine, and a very happy evening together. Prices are very good for the quality of food and for the privilege of enjoying the quite exceptional ancient building. We are local residents who eat here several times a year, and it is always a pleasure. Our thanks to Katie and the team.
