La Sirmonde

A busy place at lunch when if fills up with the bus tour folks. It overwhelms the staff and service really slows down. The food is decent and prices are reasonable. The servings are large. There are a good selection of salads and pizzas. NOTE: if cigarette smoke bothers you there are no inside dining options.

A nice restaurant with a simple menu, including Pizza as a speciality. There are good views of the West of the village over the valley. The whole floor is at a slight downwards angle so everything leans over a bit but don't let that put you off. The food is well priced but not as good at some of the best restaurants in the village. We eat late in the evening when the waiter was not quite as rushed. Overall a good experience.

My fiance and I ate out at this lovely little restaurant every night during our 5 night stay in Roussillion. Delightful pizza, lasagne, eggplant gratin were all served by the friendly, polite and helpful ladies each night. It was our pleasure to dine here nightly with a changing menu and simply delicious pizzas. A special mention must be made of their chocolate fondant. just to die for. Service was always quick and with a smile. How we miss our Roussillon Restaurant. So many memories!

We have eaten here twice because other places are too busy or its after lunch hours. We found portions to be big but service a bit slow because kitchen seems small. Pizza was quite good. Nice views.

People who came after we had ordered got their meals well before we were served; we were a party of 4 - food for 2 arrived 15 minutes before the other 2 were served; pizza was greasy and had small bits of hard pieces in it; French fries were cold. A plate of salad for 6 euros was basically a view pieces of lettuce. Totally under-staffed which left people not only waiting for their meals but also to pay. This restaurant experience totally ruined what was a pleasant and enjoyable visit to roussillon.

Nice food and great view but they made us feel like second-class citizens for having a (completely silent) baby in his buggy. They tried to put us out of the way in the corner where we couldn't see the view. A shame as we have enjoyed this restaurant for many years but now we have a child we will certainly not be coming back. Just to put this in context, this is a pizzeria with a nice view, not Michelin starred fine dining!

We stopped through Roussillon to view the beautiful rock formations and color. It was around 2:30pm and we decided to eat some lunch. Several of the restaurants were already closed for lunch. We came upon this one and stopped, mainly bc they were open! We discovered a very nice view of the cliff and some rock color seen from the terrace sitting area. We ordered pretty quickly and thought all was going well. But unfortunately there was a very demanding large party that had ordered just ahead of us and they had the staff totally flustered. They were asking for one thing after another after they ordered. We finally had to wave down the staff just to get some water, and again for our wine. We ordered a pizza La Sirmonde that included eggplant, roast peppers, and olives. It eventually came and was fine, with thin crust like we like. We had to get up and go into the building across the small road that houses the kitchen to get our check. We enjoyed the view, the food was ok, and service would prob have been ok without this large group. But we prob wouldn't go here again if we had a choice of other restaurants in town.
