La Cuisine Du 728

A very warm welcome from the owner greeted me as I arrived for dinner. The restaurant was spacious yet cosy, the service was attentive but not over-intrusive. My food was delicious in all aspects - creation, presentation and taste - especially the duck terrine starter. My main course of Sea Bass was all the more impressive as I had requested a slight variation to the dish on the menu, and the chef readily agreed to adapt it to my taste! The wine list was even better than I had dared hope, and the owner seemed very knowledgable in paring the wine to my food choices. I would strongly recommend a visit to this lovely restaurant if you are anywhere near Montpelier!

Simple but chic decor. Season based Menu or a la carte, all the food is freshly prepared and served by a real professionals. Fancy setup plates with a nice intemporal loungy music. You can appreciate the food inside or outside at the big terrace. A must go if and when in montpellier.

I really liked this place. I sat outside in the pleasant courtyard, as it was the first evening in the South of France before three days of meetings, and I wasn't sure how much chance I would get to enjoy the warm temperatures. The restaurant interior was also very comfortable and atmospheric, however.The food and the hostess were both delightful in equal measure! And the wine that was recommended (by the glass) complemented each course perfectly. Apparently Stephanie and her husband (I guess the Chef) had lived in London for 20 years prior to returning to France and buying the restaurant. It was early evening and rather quiet so I was made to feel totally relaxed and at home, with a conversation that was unhurried and very friendly. As soon as other guests arrived the conversation was rightly put on hold until they were made to feel similarly welcome.I would highly recommend this restaurant for food, wine and ambience - I hope to return some day soon, and enjoy more hospitality from La Cuisine Du 728.

This restaurant has it all. The welcome, the warm atmosphere, professional service, and beautifully presented dishes that are just perfect and taste delicious.The only problem that I find is that is too far from London!Every time I visit Montpellier in South of France I make sure La Cuisine Du 728 is in my itinerary.Last visit was in August 2016 to celebrate my birthday. This is a great restaurant to celebrate that especial occasion and to spend time with my friends.The owner Stephanie and her partner Olivier both lived in the UK, so if you feel like having a break from practising your French, you found the right restaurant.The set menu is great value for money and a great choice of a la carte dishes.This is a gem of a restaurant with the perfect combination of people, atmosphere, dishes and service.Just Love It!

On a busy ish road about a mile out of the centre but well worth the effort. Great outdoors space although Bbq was not in use when we visited. Sensible sized menu with fresh seasonal produce. Imaginative dishes with great balance and delicious vegetables (not something you expect in French restaurants). We between us tried fish meat risotto and lots more and didn't experience any disappointment. Can't wait to go again.

What a beautiful place. Delicious food, wonderful service. We came only because of the recommendations that others had written, and we were not disappointed in any way. I recommend this beautiful jewel to all who are interested in an off-the-besting track affordable yet wonderful dinner.

The second time here. Still outstanding. Great value for money. Relaxing, faster, friendly service.
