Our group swing by right at 8pm on a busy saturday night without reservation. They graciously agreed to seat us as long as we cleared the table by the second seating. It was worth the sacrifice! We had a delicious house red wine. For a starter we split the Jambon du Jour with Roquette and Mozzarella. For a main the Scaloppine du Jour was a veal served with fresh linguine and a heavenly butter-cream sauce. The staff was very friendly and very patient as I helped translate the menu to my non-french speaking group. Highly Recommend!

I am originally from marseilles but I live abroad and always go to cannaletto whith my parents when I visit.The restaurant is small and sometimes goes unoticed but it is on the "Vieux Port" and is a gem.The service is fast and excellent, lovely italian food (if you want something not on the menu they will accomodate you) and very reasonnable prices. I cant wait to go back!!
Such a bad experience avoid at all costs!! They shooed us with their hands when speaking to them about getting things wrong. We were out for dinner with a group of girls, then bride to be never got her main and they cleared away all dishes and then delivered her main. We asked to have that taken off the bill and they refused. They ruined our evening and it looked as though they found our upset quite hilarious. Super disappointed, super tarnished would strong advise against going here.
Fantastic find. Excellent food, great ambiance and fantastic value for money. Will definitely be back next time we visit Marseille
The location of this restaurant would normally be no no for us, but after looking at the menu we said sit and give a try. Good decision, we could not fault anything about this little place.
Around the old port of Marseille there are a few good restaurants, of which Il Canaletto is one of them. Nice Italian food, warm atmosphere and great service. Not too heavy, not too much cream in the Lasagna, just how is has to be. In the weekends better reserve a table, even for a visit at 2130 hrs, as its a recognized place to be. Prices are fair and advice to pay cash. We really liked the place and the food, so take it as a recommendation... enjoy!

A small restaurant right in the port of Marseille that has a variety of dishes 100% homemade! I recommend the lasagna and the tiramisu that's really freaking amazing!! Congrats to the owner for his good product and the love that he puts in his kitchen and service!! Highly recommended!!!
